What YEIDA Is Planned For 2041? Blueprint Of Development!

YEIDA Master Plan For 2041

India is heading towards rapid development, and to contribute to this flexible and remarkable growth, the Noida authority has jumped into this race among the states. To cater to this development plan, they have come up with a YEIDA master plan for 2041. This plan aims to provide a new city near Noida named New Noida Under the New Noida master plan 2041. Chicago in the USA and various European countries inspire the Design of the city. The New Noida will transform the fortunes of 84 Villages In Dadri and Bulandshahr.

The New Noida master plan 2041 covers 20000 hectares, focusing on industrial development and infrastructure meticulously; 41 hectares of the area have been designated for industrial purposes, consisting of portions set aside for housing (11.5%), parks, and green areas (17%), road infrastructure (15.5%), institutions (9%), and commercial real estate (4.5%).  

YEIDA master plan for 2041 aims to strengthen the economic foundation by establishing an Aerotropolis and integrated cities within the city, boosting employment opportunities. It focuses on providing high-quality and affordable infrastructure to enhance the overall quality of life. Emphasis is placed on ensuring safe, reliable, economical, and environmentally friendly mobility options. Cultivating a unique cultural identity for the city through vibrant public life is also a key objective.

Salient Features Of New Noida Master Plan 2041

Salient features include:

1. Designing an appropriate urban form for Greenfield City.
2. Ensuring sufficient space for airport city-side development.
3. Promoting balanced regional development in accordance with the regional plan.

Measures such as a high containment ratio are proposed to manage traffic demand within city limits effectively.The project emphasises sustainable development practices for the newly planned Greenfield City and its surrounding urban centres. Flexibility in land use is highlighted to adapt to dynamic market conditions. Affordable housing for industrial workers is prioritised to encourage inclusivity and social equity.

Integration of various public transport modes such as Metro Neo, buses, non-motorized transport (NMT), cycle tracks, pedestrian pathways, and integrated public transport (IPT) is proposed to enhance connectivity and accessibility. The creation of a central commercial center with world-class infrastructure and an iconic pedestrian walk aims to shape the city's image.

 

Great Traffic Management

Strategies for managing heavy industrial traffic include the development of peripheral roads, while logistics facilities near the airport are proposed to cater to industrial demand efficiently. Integration of existing villages into the urban fabric ensures continuity and community involvement. Furthermore, green buffers along the Yamuna River, water bodies, and canals are envisaged to promote environmental sustainability and enhance the city's aesthetic appeal.

 

Housing For All

3.5 lac families are supposed to migrate out of 6 lac families. Units catering to EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG categories will be constructed to meet the burgeoning workforce's housing needs. Noida is embarking on a transformative journey with the creation of a dedicated Special Investment Zone spanning approximately 210 square kilometres. This zone, interconnected through the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, aims to attract investors by offering enhanced connectivity options.

 

Budget To Solve Land Scarcity

The initiative addresses the critical issue of land scarcity, with over 95% of Noida already developed. To accommodate expansion, a budget of INR 1,000 crore has been approved, focusing on reclaiming 45,26,464 square metres of encroached land.

 

Growing Educational Hub

Beyond its industrial focus, the new development visualises Noida evolving into an "Education City." Plans include the establishment of various educational institutions such as university campuses, medical and engineering colleges, and technical institutes. A substantial 1662 hectares have been earmarked for these facilities.

 

A New Approach towards Developed Noida

The development unfolds in five phases, with the initial 10% land acquisition slated for 2024. Subsequent phases leading up to 2047 will integrate planned commercial, institutional, and utility zones. The projected population of six lakh will benefit from enhanced connectivity to Jewar Airport and railway networks.

To facilitate seamless connectivity, a three-tier road network is being constructed, comprising a First Arterial Road spanning 40.68 km, a Second Arterial Road covering 98.34 km, and Sector Roads extending over 126.09 km. These roads, interconnected through a broad 130-metre grid road, will cater to the growing demands of the expanding city.

The strategic positioning of Noida, along with its comprehensive development plan, aims to attract investors and offer residents a thriving urban environment with world-class amenities. The emphasis on education, alongside infrastructure and connectivity enhancements, signifies a holistic approach to sustainable urban development.

 

What is YEIDA?

The objective of YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) is to secure the planned development of the industrial development area. To achieve this objective, YEIDA will optimise the present potential, enhance the investment climate, and promote the economic development of the area through the creation of a sustainable environment supported by world-class infrastructure. The main functions of the Authority include –

1. Acquisition of land for construction of Expressway and area development.
2. Execution of Yamuna Expressway project.
3. Preparation of Master plan for planned development of the industrial development area.
4. Development of Infrastructure facilities such as drainage, feeder roads, and electrification.
